One thing I love about being Beauty Blogger is the fact I have so many products at home coupled with the fact I subscribe to a few Beauty Boxes so I get a constant stream of new products to try. Today I’m going to share with you guys my My Top 5 January Beauty Purchases.
My Top 5 January Beauty Purchases
Trifle Cosmetics Illuminator
I have had products from this company before but this is my absolute favourite by far. I had been contemplating buying a cream illuminator for a while but just haven’t gotten round to buying one yet and then this landed in a beauty box yay. I adore the girlie and cool packaging, the colours are vibrant and fun, the Company has really thought about design well. The product comes in a small tube, with a pointed nozzle at one end, very easy to use, just squeeze the light pink fluid on to your finger and apply to cheekbones area, cupid’s bow and forehead, or alternatively use a brush. I also absolutely adore the fruity sweet smell of the product and how light it is.
All in all this product has it all going on. It smells fabulous, looks great and does what its supposed to. Win Win. Plus the added bonus for me is now that I’m in my 40s I find some illuminator/highlighters can catch in fine lines and this one doesn’t.
Marc Jacobs Blush In Promiscuous 214
I’m becoming a big fan of high-end beauty lines, I will always be drawn to Marc Jacobs anyway as I’m a huge fan of the fashion line. The one thing that stands out about these products is the thought and detail put into the product packaging, it looks amazing and just oozes class. The sleek high shine casing, embossed with the brand logo and the added detailing of the push bottom opening just shouts style and elegance.
I’m loving the longevity of the product, it stays on all day, really easy to apply and highly pigmented, meaning a little goes a long way.
Clinique Chubby Stick In Whole Lotta Honey 02
When I found out Clinique was bringing out a cool crayon style tinted balm I knew I would be all over it. Clinique isn’t necessarily a brand that I’m drawn to but the release of this fabulous product has changed my views. Inside the usual Clinique outer packaging is a chubby crayon topped with a large silver lid. The product glides on and stays on. I’m really liking this, as its different to a standard balm, it’s easy to use and looks great. This colour would be one of my favourites from the collection released. Its moisturisng and doesn’t feel heavy on your lips, it also features a roll-up function at the bottom of the stick.
I will definitely be featuring this is in my makeup bag and rebuying when it runs out. Great design, looks good and works well. I can’t wait to try more from Clinique soon.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick In Shade Valentine
When I spotted this on the CT website I had to have it. As you guys who have followed me for a while will know I’m a massive Charlotte Tilbury fan, I can’t go wrong with any of her products. They all do what they are supposed to and they all look amazing. This lipstick has just been released and it’s in the shade Valentine. It’s very me, I’m drawn to lighter shades more, but I do own various darker shades as well. What a perfect addition to my CT collection with Valentine’s Day fast approaching. Packaged in the standard classy gold casing and embossed with CT on the lid top. Creamy and luscious and long lasting, a standard for any Charlotte Tilbury lippie.
Lancôme Cushion Foundation
If you follow me on my Insta @adayinthelifeofamumof6 you will have seen this product before. I have been looking for a foundation that I can pop in my handbag and use to top up when I’m out for long days and evenings out. I have never tried a cushion foundation and with lots of researching, I decided to purchase the Lancôme Miracle Cushion in shade Beige Rose. I am used to a full coverage matte foundation so this took some getting used to. But I love it, it’s very dewy which is something I didn’t think I would like, but I’m very pleasantly surprised. It is buildable as well, so you can achieve your desired look easily. I really like the cushion effect of this product, plus you can purchase additional inserts when yours runs out, which makes great financial sense.
This month has seen some amazing new releases in the Beauty industry, I’m really pleased with any I have made. Brands are upping their games and producing fabulous products. Some that I thought I wouldn’t be drawn to are now up there in brands that I want to explore more.
