Alternative Easter Gifts

Alternative Easter Gifts

I thought I would do something a little different this year in terms of Easter gifts. We are away skiing over Easter this year so we won’t be doing chocolate eggs. But as a family and especially a mum of a child with allergies we try and limit the whole chocolate thing around Easter time. My family tend to go a tad ott on eggs and the children just get far too much. So today I’m showing my guide to Alternative Easter Gifts for the family, I do hope you enjoy.

Mini Hornit Lids

Alternative Easter Gifts

These have to be the best helmets that I have come across since becoming a parent. From the design to the easy way to alter the sizing on the back. They are lightweight, stylish and all importantly comfortable. Each lid has a dial feature on the back to adjust the size easily whilst the child is wearing the helmet. There is a vast range of designs to choose from including head candy, polkas, pug puppies, hammerhead and more plus the commander which we have.

S- 48-53cm

M- 53-58cm

The lid also has a LED light feature which has 3 modes, allowing 10 hours constant and 20 flashing. This also makes it the perfect lid for winter time.

 Personalised Cushion

Alternative Easter Gifts

I absolutely fell in love with this personalised moon and stars piped cushion when I first spotted it. Mason loves cuddling into his cushion for story time. What I also love about this cushion is that its filled with 100% allergy friendly filler which is perfect for all of Mason’s allergies. The cushion comes in 2 sizes 18×18 or 22×22. You can pick between white or turquoise reverse which is made with a faux suede. The cushions are made in the UK and can be dispatched within 72 hours from ordering time. You can also have these made up with pictures, which can be adjusted at the time of the order to fit the cushion to your taste.

Daddys Zoo Adventure Book

I picked this an alternative for adults. It comes in multiple variations including how many children you want to add and you can also choose the mum option as well. I made this up using the 3 younger children as the characters, you can also personalise the book with a picture as well and add other personal sections in as well. It’s such a beautifully made book and one that my husband absolutely loves. I love the fact that its something very different.

  • Personalisation: Personal information in the story includes the first line of the child’s address, their favourite food, the names of two friends, the adult’s favourite colour, the adult’s age and the adult’s favourite food. A personal message from the sender is printed at the front of the book and the adult’s face is included 13 times in the illustrations. Their name features 26 times in the book and the child’s name 19 times.
  • Age range: Two to six.
  • Quality: 32-page perfect-bound book with full-colour gloss cover.

Rock and Ruddle Brush

I thought this was a gorgeous alternative Easter gift for little ones or even an addition to an Easter basket if you like giving these. The Ducks and Rabbit range is stunning and very apt for this time of the year. The brush comes with 2 different brush textures. A softer version for the under 2’s and a natural boar bristle for the over 3’s. If you want as well you can personalise the brushes 🙂 We are using the natural boar brush and the twins love it, it’s nice and gentle on their slightly longer hair. If you want a different design to the one shown there are a variety of other designs to choose from.

Rock & Ruddle’s quality boar bristles are strong and resilient, have a natural stiffness that means that they brush the hair thoroughly and yet don’t pull as they are drawn through it.  They have microscopic scales that release and drag the sebum (natural oil) that is produced in the scalp distributing it along the hair making it shiny and healthy looking.  Perfect for de-tangling and taming unruly hair.

Easter doesn’t have to be all about the candy. I think it’s awesome that you’re sharing these suggestions. It’s something that the kids could use for a long time as well.
