If you follow me on Instagram you will know that we are proud Piccalilly Ambassadors for this season. Lovers of all things natural and organic we are delighted to get involved with a brand that we already love. Our interest for organic had peaked when the twins came along. We cloth bummed them and then started seeking organic and natural clothing for them. Mainly because of Masons super sensitive skin, but also because the items are super soft and kind to babies skin. Being a mum of a child with multiple allergies I spent a lot of time researching and my main goal was to help reduce any irritants that he may come into contact with. We started our journey with Piccalilly with their swaddle range. A stunning range for newborns who like the closer feeling for easier settling, these can also double up as a soft cot sheet, burp cloth and a nursing cover. Sized at 120x120cms its offers so much versatility for mamas. From this point, our love for Piccalilly grew and as you will see in our shots, just how beautiful, colourful and well made the items are. So today I’m talking about the Piccalilly autumn and winter trends which have just been released.
Piccalilly The Brand
Piccalilly is a multi-award winning eco-friendly UK clothing brand for children from newborn to the age of 8. Piccalilly from the off where very passionate about producing items that were ethically made and also offer 100% transparency as to the supply chain, for me investing in organic items this is super important.
The one thing that really stands out for me about the brand is the fact that they source their organic fabric from a special project called Chetna Organic. This is a fair trade cotton program that has an aim to provide a better quality of living for their farmers. The farmers also own a 10% share in the factory that makes the Piccalilly clothes.
Piccalilly pays a fair price for the clothing which means the people who make the ranges receive a living wage. This also includes free transportation to work, company-sponsored meals, healthcare and funding for their children’s education. Piccalilly clothing is made for children, not by children. The brand has thoroughly researched and chosen to work only with suppliers who offer the highest level of social compliance.
We have been trying out a few items from the Piccalilly autumn and winter range over the last few weeks. Having been lovers of the brand for a number of years we knew the quality would be to a very high standard. I find the sizing to be true to size and in some items generous which is great for us. As I have mentioned previously Mason has some skin issues so the softer the clothing the better to help try and protect his delicate skin. I have always found the range to be super soft, beautifully made, thick fabrics which are perfect for this time of year plus the colours are lovely and vibrant. They wash very well for an Organic range and hold their colour.
I hope you guys will enjoy joining us on our Piccalilly Ambassadorship journey and if you have any questions about Organic clothing please don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
