We have featured Green people here on the blog before. The reason why we went for a more natural product was mainly down to our love of planet wise items. Also, Mason’s uber sensitive skin which we have talked about a fair few times on here. Mason now has a suncream allergy and we are very limited to which we can use. When I found out that Green people had an organic range of creams for sun protection I jumped at the chance to try it out. I’m also featuring today a really handy hand sanitiser. Perfect for adding to your baby bag or handbag and even on flights for the holiday season. So today I’m going to be talking all about the Green People Summer Essentials the perfect addition to your holiday bag.
Green People Summer Essentials
I won’t go into the entire history of Green People as I did in my previous post but it’s a brand that has been around for 20 years. Founded by Charlotte who was surprised by the lack of natural products on the market for children with very sensitive and eczema prone skin. This spurred Charlotte on to create her own salves for her daughter which proved to be a huge success. The rest as they say is history and now Green People are a market leader in their field and who hold multiple awards and are also soil association approved.
Scent Free Sun Lotion
This was the product that I was most excited about trying out. We took this away with us on our recent ski trip for Mason. Its a lovely rich cream with an off-white colour. It has absolutely no scent which makes for a lovely change. It feels very nourishing on the skin. Applies very easily and also absorbs quickly. I really love that it has added:
Vitamins which can be found in avocado and green tea.
It comes in factor 30 which we go for after researching the difference between it and factor 50 which is minimal. It is advised to apply the suncream an hour before exposure. We did it first thing in the morning to allow it to work whilst we got sorted for the day ahead. There is obviously something in the ingredients that Mason’s skin loves or something that hasn’t been added which is in typical lotions. All in all, I adore this cream. It’s on the pricier side at £18.50 for 150mls. That said its natural, packed full of goodness and doesn’t irritate which is a winner for me 🙂 If you wanted to try it without buying the larger size its also available in a 30ml size as well, both links are below.
Citrus Scented Sticky Hand Sanitiser
I have 3 young boys which of course means mess ha. I always carry wipes around in my bag as a quick on the go clean up for hands prior to eating etc. I have tried traditional hand sanitisers myself. But I’m not that keen on the sticky residue that some leave behind. Its great to now have an alternative which we all can use. The sticky hand sanitiser comes in a 100ml pump based dispenser. One pump easily covers a little hand. I love the citrus scent which lingers after use. The foam breaks down quickly to form a lovely moveable liquid. The hand sanitiser is made with tea tree extract which we all know is a great antibacterial product. There is also no need to rinse the product off which makes it the ideal product for on the go. The dispenser holds 200 squirts so is very cost effective and comes in at £10
I’m definitely going to invest in some other items from the vest range which can be bought online or from Whole foods, Planet organic, Ocado and selected Waitrose stores.
