Mini BMX Review

I mentioned in my back to school post that we have moved closer to the children’s schools. This means we can get more active as a family and cycle to school Irish weather permitting ha. We recently got a Mini BMX for Lucas something that can be passed on to the twins when he is bigger 🙂  Lucas is of the age where he needs a more robust bike and that’s why we opted for this type and make.

The mini BMX comes in a variety of colours but we opted ofr the black version. I mentioned above that I wanted a more robust bike for Lucas When I took it off the courier I expected the weight of a small child’s bike, nope its quite heavy and for me, that’s a massive plus. Stuart my hubby assembled it easily by following the instructions included. It had it together in around 30mins or so. Lucas was straight out after for a spin up the driveway as you do with a new toy. I love the design aspect of the bike and the funky retro stunt pegs, brings me right back to my youth and the local BMX track.

Weight wise its a sturdy bike, Lucas is 7 and can handle it well himself, we do need to lift it if required. Its the perfect size for him and also has an adjustable section to make it fit your child. The handlebars are perfect and the wider stance makes them very comfortable.

From a price stance its a more expensive bike, but you get what you pay for and in this case its very much on par with the high standard of workmanship that’s gone into making the bike. As parents, we wanted something that will last and that can be handed down o the smaller boys. Obviously making a larger investment Lucas needs to love it and he does 🙂 He can’t wait to take it to school now come September after spending the last few weeks trying it out in the local park.

Pricey bit of kit but it looks great! You definitely wouldn’t be replacing it in a hurry and with the nice mild weather we’ve been having you’d definitely get your use out of it.

What a great looking bike. I always think the price is worth it if it’s something that can be passed down to younger siblings. x

Love it! So great to have something sturdy to pass on. Although…I do feel very old now you’ve called them ‘retro stunt pegs’!
