Eco Friendly Clothing

Eco Friendly Clothing

If you guys have followed me for a while you will know I’m a huge lover of all things organic and products/items that are Eco-friendly. When sourcing clothing for myself or the boys I always try and opt for Eco Friendly Clothing for many reasons. My love for eco friendly clothes was born just after I had the twins. Mason suffered from really bad skin, so we made the switch to cloth nappies and organic cotton. We haven’t looked back since and still to this day I will always opt to buy something Eco over anything else. The quality is always superior and having a little one with super sensitive skin I want him to be able to wear something kinder to his skin and the environment.

Boody the Brand

Eco Friendly Clothing

Boody is an Australian born company. Created with the want to have an eco-friendly bamboo range which was affordable but yet practical. Boody decided to create their range using bamboo cotton instead of the traditional organic cotton. Bamboo cotton is a much more sustainable plant which requires much less maintenance. The production team on the ground only use closed loop systems meaning water is filtered and reused. The fabrics are created by mixing the yarn with nylon and elastane to create a beautifully soft stretchy fabric. The Boody range is also fantastic for anyone who suffers from irritable skin. Its been created to be a more breathable garment and one that wicks away moisture leaving the skin to breath more easily. The bamboo mix means its super soft, plus the range is also seam free meaning less irritation.

Boody is a brand that supports the global trend for all things green and ethical. This is our passion.

Made from organic chemical free bamboo yarn, Boody bamboo is plantation grown and requires much less water than cotton-based fabrics. Even our box is recycled and printed with vegetable-based ink!

My Thoughts

I have been trying the long sleeved top and  full brief and I’m really very impressed. The quality of both is fantastic. They are both super soft to touch and feel lovely next to the skin. The long sleeved top is lovely and breathable and a perfect layering top for this time of the year. Both also wash very well with no colour fade. I also think from a price stance that they are very affordable especially given the high-quality products used to make the items. The ladies and babies range is gorgeous and I’m very excited to see what the brand releases next.

Your photos really bring out the ‘natural’ element of the clothes. I’ve never bought any eco friendly clothing, but you’ve tempted me to do so.

I love bamboo cotton. It feels softer than regular cotton to me, and it has the massive advantage of the ecological benefits. This looks great – simple, casual, quality. I’m really pleased they have a baby range too, as I always try to shop organic cotton or bamboo cotton for my son.

I don’t think I have ever heard of eco friendly clothing before. It’s great that companies like Boody are adopting the new eco trends and make clothes whilst contributing to the well-being of the environment instead of damaging it with chemicals.

I also have never really considered eco-friendly clothing before. I think I get so caught up in it all that I don’t ever think about the affects it could have or how the material is made or how it affects my skin. I love the in depth description of the brand, how the clothes are made and their beliefs. It makes me want to learn a little more about what I can do and what clothes are available that are more eco friendly

Being more eco friendly this year is something we are aiming for and this is a brand that I have actually tried myself and I love them.

I’ve not really come across much in the way of eco clothing in the stores I shop in which is a shame. It is a growing area so I am sure that I will come across some soon enough.

Bamboo seems all the rage right now and I’ll definitely be looking out for it more when I’m shopping for clothes. I’m trying to be more environmentally conscious this year starting with small steps!

It is part of our plan for 2018 that we become much more eco friendly. I’m grateful for the intro to eco clothing – I admit I hadn’t given too much concern to our clothing yet. I’m new to this brand but like their style. Bamboo cotton sounds lovely and soft.
