Sherpa Adventure Gear Review

Sherpa Adventure Gear Review

It’s well-known that I have a love for all things ethical and supporting businesses that give something back to the community. I’m always drawn to a business that invests money either to charity or to help others. It shows to me how much the brand thinks of others and how they want to make a positive impact on other peoples lives whilst producing high-quality goods. So today I’m bringing to you guys today the Sherpa Adventure Gear Review.

The Brand

Tashi Sherpa founded the company in 2003 which is based in Kathmandu, Nepal and Seattle. The aim of starting the venture in Nepal was to give something back to the community. Plus to offer the locals opportunities and help develop the area. In turn, a percentage of the proceeds from the range sold goes back into the community to help educate the children. Tashi has since retired and his daughters Tsedo and Pema have taken over alongside the Costa family who joined in 2016. The Costa family bring additional resources to the project enabling swifter turnarounds.

Sherpas, as we know, are some of the best mountaineers in the world. Having their valuable help in testing garments which can be used in demanding conditions is invaluable. Alongside the high-performance items are hand knitted sweaters, hats and hand warmers which I have been trying out.

Sherpa Adventure Gear Fund

The Sherpa Adventure Gear fund was created to provide a better future for the children of Nepal. Unlike my children here in the UK, the children of Nepal can be located in mountainous locations which can mean they are deprived of education. 25 cents of every sale is donated to the fund to provide the children with the means of getting an education.

The Sherpa Accessories

I have been trying out a few items that I was kindly sent from the accessories range. We are going skiing next month and these will come in very handy when away. I have also been putting them to the test here in the UK as well. This winter has been a cold one, hats and gloves have most definitely been needed.  The range has kept me extremely warm on bitterly cold days. Its also very well made, it offers comfort as well as being practical. The bag itself is a fantastic size, has a tie top to keep your items safe and an inner pocket. The bum bag is also a fantastic design. For me it’s multifunctional and it’s also great as a purse. from a pricing stance, they are all super affordable.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post. I have loved creating this post and finding out more about the brand and what it offers. As a mum, their project really touched my heart. All children deserve an education no matter what their background and location. I have no doubt the brand will continue to succeed and touch the hearts of many along the way.

What a fantastic range of goodies. My dad, sister and cousin have been to Nepal a few times and my dad still tells his story of how he was given a blessing by Eric the monk! It’s great that it’s creating more jobs and giving something back, plus they look amazing. I think I might have to get myself some goodies.
