Yes, I have jumped on the blogger trend and taken the plunge and bought the Iconic London Illuminator. Does it really match up to the hype surrounding its release?
Iconic London Illuminator
Instagram and youtube have been flooded with pictures and snippets of people loving this illuminator, so I thought I would buy and see what I thought. I have found lately my skin isn’t as glowy as it used to be. What with being uber busy and running after the kids I think it’s taken a toll on my skin despite my pretty rigid skin routine. So I thought I would give this a try and see if it could add some glow to my life.
Iconic London The Story
Jade Elliot, a former Makeup artist and stylist to the stars wanted to create a trend led product range, like nothing seen before to inspire us to try something a little different. In 2015 Iconic London was created. Since then it’s become a well-known and sought after brand which now includes a multitude of products and high-end brushes.
The illuminator comes in a really cute glass bottle and in 3 shades including Original, Shine and Glow. To use the product it comes with a handy pipette. Apply the product to a primed face. One thing I would say is this product is very concentrated, I only use one drop per area. You can sweep it over your face by either using your fingers or a brush. I use under my foundation but it can, of course, be mixed into your foundation to create a more dewy, glowful look, or on its own for a high pigmented glow. I am currently using the original but plan to expand my collection in time to include the following.
SHINE Illuminator – pink based shimmer to add a pearly shine
ORIGINAL Illuminator – champagne toned shimmer to add a golden shine
GLOW Illuminator – terracotta toned shimmer, to add deeply a golden shine
Is it worth it?
One word, yes. It’s uber easy to use and very versatile. It does exactly what it says on the tin and as its super concentrated and will last for months. It gives you the most beautiful glows, that makes you look very healthy as well. From a price stance, I think it’s very affordable due to the fact it’s concentrated so you will get lots of usages. I’m very excited to see what else the brand adds to its range. I have already purchased the brushes as well, and they are so so soft. To check out Iconic London just click here.
Have you guys tried any illuminators?
