NYX Butt Naked Review

NYX Butt Naked Review

I wanted to explore multiple brands on the market and try and find good Palettes across the mid and high-end bracket. The NYX Professional Butt Naked Turn The Other Cheek Palette is my first mid-range buy. I was immediately drawn to the more neutral shades of the shadows and from a price point, it’s extremely affordable.

NYX Palette First Impressions

The Palette from the outside looks really nice. A lovely high shine outer with the brand’s stamp on the front. Opening the lid you find the first section of the Palette which contains 15 eyeshadows. In the lower section, there are four Matt and Pearl blushers. I find the palette pretty streamline considering the number of products available inside. Also, love the fact that they have included a mirror.

The Products

I really like the eyeshadow selection. All are very pigmented with very little fallout. The colours also really complement each other, allowing you to create multiple looks. The blushers are a little too pinky for me, I am very pale and need a more flushed shade when purchasing a blush, this will, of course, be suitable for others with a different skin tone. That aside I did use a few so I could give an honest review and they are very easy to apply. A little goes a long way so apply and build until the desired colour is achieved.

NYX Eyeshadow Collection

Overall Conclusion

I like the palette and from a price stance, it’s very affordable. The only downside for me would be the more plasticky feel from the outer packaging and the fact the lower section is a little more difficult to find and access. The colours available are vast and they are all very blendable and look great. I am going to try a few blushers from the range in my shade to see how I get on.

Do you have any products from the NYX range?

This is another brand that I haven’t seen before… I’m adding it to the list of things to show my wife and see if she would like them 🙂

I wish they did this just as an eyeshadow palette as I’d definitely use those shades but I don’t think I’d use the other bits x

I LOVE NYX! I need to try more products from them! I agree however, that some of the packaging feels a bit cheap! xx

I love all the nude and neutral shades in this palette, and the mirror is a big winner.

I have Nyx eyeshadow but I don’t really use it much because I bought colours that don’t work so well with my tone. I love this palette though because I am into the barely there shades and the eyeshadows here are a perfect match. Oh never mind about that plasticky feel haha, it will not be much use anyway 🙂
