Light and Airy Bedroom Inspiration

Light and Airy Bedroom Inspiration

It’s hard to believe that time last year we were making the move back to the city to live. It was the best decision that we have made in terms of the length of time spent in the car on school runs etc. Plus im closer to my family which is always a plus. Our plans have changed again and we are hopefully on the move again over the next few weeks. Which means I can add my own stamp to a new house. I had planned on changing our bedroom furniture this year anyway so this is the perfect opportunity to go ahead and create the space that I have been lusting over. So today I’m talking Light and Airy Bedroom Inspiration and creating that bright and calm sleeping space.

If you guys have been following me for a while you will know I’m such a bed bug. It’s the one place that I can fully unwind and relax and living in such a busy home I need this me time and space. The idea is to create a very light room, with splashes of colour to add some warmth in terms of accessories. We have very dark bedroom furniture in our room at present which closes the room in slightly. Whereas brighter pieces will create the feeling of space. I have selected a few items from each category that I’m drawn to including soft furnishings, I hope you enjoy.

Lighting

Cushions and Throws

Soft Furnishings

Beds

Bedside Tables

Drawers

I hope you guys have enjoyed my light and airy bedroom inspiration post. Now to put my ideas into practice and create a new space for me and Stuart.

Oh I really like that colourful cushion from Not On The High Street – it would definitely give the whole room that little pop of colour without being overbearing!
