Simple Eco Friendly Changes

Simple Eco Friendly Changes

I feature a lot of eco friendly items here on the blog, its something that my readers have taken a keen interest in. I will be exploring this a lot more over the coming months and I will be coming up with simple ideas and ways that we can all make changes. If you have followed for a while you will have read my features on eco friendly clothing and beauty products. But we can make other Simple Eco Friendly Changes in our homes as well. Ways we can eliminate the unnecessary use of plastics. I for one used to go through lots of plastic water bottles in a week especially when I went to the gym. Instead of reusing I would buy new. These all end up in the landfill and are so not good for the environment and planet. I switched up my gym plastic bottles for a glass bottle which is reusable. Which means less impact and it actually is cost-effective as I’m not buying water now, instead, I’m using tap water 🙂

Simple Eco Friendly Changes

I know I have explained our backstory on how we got into using more eco friendly items a few times. But as the years have progressed I’m definitely finding that people are becoming more eco-aware and planet wise. Especially since the start of 2018 I have noticed a few people that I follow are beginning to make small changes in how they shop etc and they have a keen interest in changing. I also want to step up my game this year as well and we will as a family will make more steps to reduce our plastic usage. I have also linked a very helpful link below which goes into harm of using plastic bottles which I hope some of you may find helpful.

I am trying to use as little plastic as possible and also I am on a mission to stop wasting food by buying things that I will never eat. I think it’s so important that each of us starts to do something for our planet, as little as it is, it matters!

I use a bamboo toothbrush but I definitely need to be better at using non plastic bottles, although I have decreased my buying of plastic and bags which is good!

These are some great eco-friendly changes people can make and so simple. I have been trying to use more reusable things like cups when we are out.

I have cut back on my plastic usage as well and I’m very dedicated to recycling my waste as well.
I still have to use plastic trash bags however but everything else has been reduced or eliminated.

Yes totally agree, I find myself making more conscious purchases, if I see something being sold in a plastic bottle, I tend to go for the same but in a glass bottle even though its more expensive.

I try and reuse things as much as possible and if I can’t recycle anything else, but I do need to get a glass water bottle for work x

I’m loving this idea. Since moving into my current flat I do so much recycling and it’s insane I might take the trash out every 10 days or so but the amount of plastic we recycle is insane!

I agree with this and I am trying to bring more eco friendly items into my life and home x

You’re preaching to the choir. I’ve always lived a life where I reused as much as I can. I buy quality over quantity. I don’t because trendy. And I buy clothes maybe twice a year ( it may be an item or two) although many people think I am constantly shopping…lol.

Re-useable bottles and tap water – it’s a win/win combination! It’s good to see that supermarkets are also finally beginning to do their bit towards lessening the impact that plastic has on our environment.

I need to be better at making small changes and use less plastic for sure although I try my best and re-use items as much as possible.
