Upbeat Protein Smoothies

Upbeat Protein Smoothies

Upbeat has developed a range of drinks which are crammed full of goodness. Plus perfect for any time of the day. The Upbeat Protein Smoothies are a fantastic drink first for thing in the morning, after a workout or to stop those early afternoon slumps. As a busy mum, anything that gives me that added boost that I crave during the day is a winner. These aren’t, of course, limited just to mums. They are suitable for all 🙂 The range comes in 3 fantastic flavours. Including Strawberry, Coconut & Pineapple and Blueberry & Raspberry. The drinks are made up of real fruit, 20g of whey protein and all the important added minerals and vitamins.

Upbeat Protein Smoothies Story

Upbeat Protein Smoothies

The brand is the baby of Mark Neville. Mark had been a lover of protein smoothies for many years and started his day off making a whey smoothie for all. Marks family have been in the Whey protein business for 40 years so he decided to put their vast knowledge to the test and create a range which is ready made. Marks aim was to create a line that helped us avoid the dreaded dips during the day whilst also providing us with all the goodness that we need.

“Before founding Upbeat, my morning routine included making a whey protein smoothie for my family and I. We soon came to realise that this morning ritual was more than just a delicious breakfast, but also helped us to feel energised to power through the day. If I ever missed making the smoothie, my day was just not the same and I’d fall into a pattern of energy slumps”.

Our Experience

I hadn’t realised that my son and husband are regular drinkers of the Upbeat Protein Smoothies. They both buy either at work or school. Needless to say, they were overjoyed when I received my delivery. I’m definitely that person who slumps around the 3 pm mark. If I don’t get a lift at this stage I struggle massively for the rest of the day. I often find myself reaching for rubbish to eat at this point as well. Thinking that huge sugar rush will help me feel better when in fact it makes you feel much worse. For me, the fact that the Upbeat Protein Smoothies are slow release is a winner. I haven’t had that massive drop after drinking it like I would if I ate chocolate or sweets. It also tastes amazing. Really creamy, filling and above all good for you. The Strawberry is my favourite. My local store doesn’t stock the coconut flavour so that could possibly overtake on the taste front. Coming in at only 150 calories it’s a great option for those who are watching what they consume. We will definitely be purchasing Upbeat for the house again and for those busier days when I struggle to eat a healthy lunch due to time constraints.

Looks like I’m going to have get myself some, I’m one of these people that’s too scared for energy drinks, not a coffee drinker so need something else to wake me up during the day but also be good for me, and think you’ve just handed all that to me on your blog post, thanks a bunch.

These sound like really interesting smoothies, I like that they contain protein and they sound like they taste really quite good! I might have to pick them up on our next shop.

Ooh I love the sound of these – I have a regular afternoon slump too. I like the flavours these are, different from some of the usuals.

I really need to try these, I am seriously lacking in goodness right now and don’t really like fruit or veg! Im going to give them a try!

These would definitely be good for that mid-afternoon slump. I tend to get it a bit later as I have a slightly later lunch but around 4pm I do tend to feel peckish x

These sound great! I haven’t actually heard of them before, but I will be on the look out now next time I am in the super market. Is it wrong that I was thinking to myself “you could pretend the pineapple and coconut was a pina colada” as I read this?? 😀

These sound really good and perfect when you get that mid afternoon craving.

Not heard of these before and I like a good smoothie. Even better when they are grab and go so much easier x

I have never been someone who makes/buys a lot of smoothies as usually it is a bit of a faff to make them, and the pre-made ones are always flavour combinations that I am not too keen on.
However, the flavours in these sound just up my street!! I think that the fact it is slow releasing energy is a plus point, and the low amount of calories make it seem perfect all ways round.
