Childs Farm Hair and Body Wash

I have a post coming up in a few weeks all about Eczema and how it has affected my boys. We have found that using perfumed items irritates Mason’s skin more. That was until we came across Childs Farm and their range of products for children with sensitive skin and even for little ones with Eczema prone skin.

Childs Farm the Brand

Those that follow me on the Beauty blog will know I love all things Natural and Organic. I have noticed that a few mums like me have had issues trying to find a product that works for their child and they, in turn, have started their own brands to try and get on top of their children’s ailments. Childs Farm is one of these fantastic companies. The founder Joanna Jensen had been trying to source a 2 part wash and condition system that was gentle enough for her daughter’s sensitive skin but that was also paraben and nasty free. Joanna a horse owner and breeder was used to mixing lotions and potions for her animals, so she then turned her hand making a natural shampoo which contained added essential oils to scent the product. Joanna approached many manufacturers who tried to sway her mind with adding Parabens, Joanna had a clear goal and vision for her brand and this wasn’t the route that she wanted to take. Joanna met Medichem who unlike the others took on board her wishes and together they worked on a blend that incorporated the Natural properties that Joanna wanted.

In 2011 and with 1000 bottles of product the Childs Farm Brand launched. Now it can be found in many Supermarkets, Chemists and High Street stores as well as online direct.

Childs Farm Hair and Body Wash

The award winning hair and body wash is a fabulous product for little ones. Scented with Blackberry and Organic Apple this wash gives a lovely fruity scent. The gel is light in colour and gives a nice gentle lather. Containing Argan Oil which gently moisturises the skin as well as helping to break through dirt and grime, which as a mum of 6 we see on a daily basis after a garden play session. Very easily rinsed from the hair, with no leftover residue. Priced at a very competitive £3.99 per 250ml it holds its own against other traditional body washes. As its formula is made with sensitive skin in mind we haven’t had any issues should any run into the eyes during shampoo time. I must say I’m very impressed with the brand as a whole and its one will we continue to use.

It has been really nice to be able to use something other than prescribed washes for Mason. We have also gotten the suncream which I will review in a few weeks when we have more in the way of the sunshine and a need to use it. It’s great to see a non prescription product for eczema. My niece has it and I’d love to recommend this to my brother for her to use.
